  • What are your opening hours?
    Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 5.00 Friday 07.30 to 4.00 Saturday 08.00 to 12.00noon


  • Do you offer a payment on delivery service?
    No , we do not offer payment on delivery , however we do accept all major credit and debit cards over the phone. Alternatively you can come into our store and pay by cash or card. Please note we unfortunately do not accept payment by cheque or American Express.


  • Can non-trade customers purchase from Lothian Building Supplies ?
    Yes , non-trade customers are more than welcome to shop with us.


  • How does a credit account operate?
    We offer a nett monthly account to qualifying customers on trade terms, so that you can buy everything at the right price, with account facilities meaning that invoices and statements are sent straight to your office.** Please note credit references will be required and credit searches will be undertaken before any offer of credit may be made. Terms and conditions apply.


  • What is your returns / cancellation policy ?
    If you find yourself with unwanted goods which have been correctly supplied, we will do our best to accommodate you wherever possible. If these are goods which we carry in stock and they are returned in a re-saleable condition and in their original packaging we will accept return for a 20% restocking charge.For non-stock items, which have been specially ordered, again subject to their condition, we will accept return as long as it is possible for us to return them to our supplier. Please be aware that suppliers will charge for re-stocking which could be anything from 20% to 50% and this will be passed on to you. Also many suppliers have a cut-off period after which time goods cannot be returned. If goods have been specially made to order we are unable to accept return. The same rules apply to cancelled items, however for any made to order items already in production cancellation will not be possible.


  • What happens if the goods I order are damaged or faulty?
    Everything possible is done to ensure that your order reaches you in a satisfactory condition, if however goods are found to be faulty or damaged, please contact us immediately so we can provide replacements as soon as possible. If the item was ordered in specially we will have to take payment for a replacement which will be credited back to you as soon as a credit is received from the manufacturer. We recommend that on delivery you visually inspect all of your goods to ensure that there are no obvious signs of damage, as if we are later informed of such damage, we may not accept responsibility. Whenever possible please check inside any boxes or pallets.
